Initiative to explore AI roles in government settings launched

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour on Thursday announced an initiative for exploring the roles of artificial intelligence in government departments. The initiative is aimed at utilizing the tools developed for this technology in various institutional applications that are expected to contribute to raising the efficiency of government performance.
This was stated upon the opening of the second forum of the National System for Innovation and Change Management (NSICM), one of the programmes of Oman Vision 2040. The programme seeks to develop government performance and improve the quality of services in the State's Administrative Apparatus.
HH Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said, Assistant Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, the chief guest at the event, launched the Guide for Strategic Planning of Human Resources in the government sector.
The Ministry of Labour also announced the launch of a package of projects planned for the second version of the NSICM system in partnership with various government and private sector units.
