BNI holds formative meeting

Business Network International (BNI), world’s largest business referral organisation, held its formative meeting just prior to its full-fledged operations in the Sultanate of Oman. At the ceremony held at the Grand Millennium Hotel, nearly 30 members representing business houses in the country as well as more than 25 local businesses attended the meeting and introduced themselves aiming to benefit from business referrals and networking.
“The meeting on Monday is in congruence with our official recognition of Oman as the 77th country of the BNI,' Saleem Althaf, National Director, BNI Oman, told the Observer.
BNI is with the commencement of operations in the country, Oman has become the 77th country where the BNI has its direct representation.
300,000 members worldwide spread over close to 11,000 chapters internationally and 13.1 million member referrals resulting in member generated business to the tune of $21.8 B, the launch of BNI in the country will be highly beneficial to the businesses, both SMEs as well as other entities, who have the opportunity to engage with its services to increase their businesses and grow customer base using the modernised business networking and globally proven system, according to the representatives of BNI.
“BNI worldwide has been supporting businesses for 38 years and acquiring BNI services will only help the businesses to grow and increase customer base,” he added.
He further added that as more than 1,000 businesses in the neighbouring UAE and Qatar have turned into successful ventures with BNI’s support, next month Bahrain is also starting BNI journey. Now Oman-based businesses have ample opportunities to connect with qualitative businesses in the GCC and beyond efficiently through BNI.
