Some governorates may get heavy rains today

Muscat: Thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds (15-35 knots) may lead to flash floods from flowing wadis in the governorates of Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North al Batinah, South al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat, North al Sharqiyah, South al Sharqiyah, and Dhofar.
At the time of writing this report, there are chances of rains in the capital, including in South Muscat, and extending to the coasts of the Sea of Oman.
Between 11 and 10 pm, these nine wilayats will get rainfall in the range of (20-45 mm), which may lead to poor horizontal visibility.
People have been asked to stay away from low and lying places and wadis.
