The Omantel League enters its final stages, with only three rounds left. The competition for the title and survival intensifies among the clubs. The 23rd round saw some significant results that narrowed down the contenders for the title and those facing relegation to the First Division.

The top two teams in the league, Al Nahda, and Al Suwaiq, remain the only title contenders. Al Nahda, who are currently the league leaders, are the strongest candidates for the title with only two rounds left to play. Meanwhile, Al Suwaiq are still holding on to their hope for the title and need to win their next matches to stay in the competition.

On the other hand, Al Bashayer are the first club in danger of relegation, needing a win in the upcoming match to avoid being relegated to the First Division. The remaining three clubs that are in danger of relegation are Al Oruba, Al Ittihad and Sur.

Three clubs will be relegated to the first division league out of these four clubs.

During the 23rd round, Al Nahda and Al Suwaiq served themselves well for the title, with both teams securing victories. Al Oruba also secured a vital win over Bahla Club, increasing their hopes for survival.

The draw between Al Seeb and Al Ittihad had implications for both teams, with Al Ittihad still holding on to the hope of survival while Al Seeb lost their chance to compete for the title officially. Meanwhile, the draw between Al Rustaq and Sur ended the hopes of Al Rustaq to competing for the title, but Sur gained a valuable point for survival.

24TH ROUND

The next round’s summit will be between Al Nahda and Al Seeb, which could see Al Nahda officially crowned champions if they secure a win and Al Suwaiq lose their match against Al Musannah.

At the bottom, all eyes will be on the match between Sur and Al Bashayer match which could determine the first to be relegated to the First Division. Al Bashayer need a must-win to avoid relegation as a defeat or draw will put them out. If Al Oruba lose against Sohar and Bahla beat Al Ittihad the three teams that will be relegated to the First Division will be Al Bashayer, Al Oruba and Al Ittihad.
