The competition for the Omantel League title is reaching its climax, with only four rounds left in the season. Al Nahda Club are currently the front-runner and the closest to achieving the title, with only four points separating them from Al Suwaiq Club, who are in second place with 45 points.
Al Seeb Club follow in third place with 41 points, while Al Rustaq Club are in fourth place with 39 points.
The upcoming Round 23 will shed light on the standings, as the number of clubs vying for the title may reduce to three or two clubs, depending on the outcome of matches featuring Al Rustaq, Al Seeb and others.
Meanwhile, five clubs face the possibility of being relegated to the First Division League. Al Nasr Club appear to be the safest and need only one point from the next four rounds. Sur Club, on the other hand, are among the threatened clubs and must perform well to remain in the Omantel League while Al Ittihad, Al Bashayer and Al Orouba clubs face relegation nominations.
