MUSCAT, APRIL 17
The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development has invited applications for 10 new licences for the opening of Sanad Services Centres in a number of governorates across the Sultanate of Oman.
Of late, Sanad Service Centres have emerged as vital facilitators of a wide range of government services routinely sought by businesses and individuals.
By outsourcing service delivery to Sanad centres, the government has opened up opportunities for Omani entrepreneurs to operate in this sector, as well as to recruit nationals to man these centres — a move that has create self-employment opportunities for Omanis.
According to the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, new licences will be granted for the start of Sanad centres to cover the needs of the different wilayats of the country.
The new licences will enable the opening of centres in the following locations: Al Dereez in Al Qabil Wilayat (North Al Sharqiyah Governorate); Al Jarda in Al Mudhaibi Wilayat (South Al Sharqiyah Governorate), Tiwi in Sur Wilayat (South Al Sharqiyah); Khasab (Musandam); Raysut Industrial City (Dhofar); Saham (North Al Batinah); Mawaleh Industrial Area (Muscat); Hamra Al Dhuru in Ibri Wilayat (Al Dhahirah), and Al Sayh Al Ahmar in Bidbid Wilayat (Al Dakhiliyah Governorate).
While conditions governing the validity of the new licences will be announced soon, interested applicants can register for the licences to launch new centres. Previous applicants are not eligible to participate in this round, the Authority added.
