Dr Marwan expressed his gratitude for the recognition, saying, 'I am humbled and honoured to receive this recognition. This appointment is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Oman Hockey Association. I look forward to working with the Asian Hockey Federation to promote Hockey and bring it to new heights.'

During the function, UTSC also honoured Manha Mariyam for her achievement in the CBSE National Athletics in India. Manha, a student of ISM hailing from Thalassery in Kerala, won a gold medal in the 4x100m relay.
