Weather: The Northwesterly Winds form the focus

 
Muscat: Currently, moderate to active northwesterly winds are blowing in most governorates.

Wind speed recorded at some meteorological stations show that Qarn Al Alam station recorded 24 knots, Al-Zamayem station - 22 knots, Fahud Station - 24 knots, Marmul station - 22 knots, Dibba Station - 13 knots, with active gusts of 31 knots.

Meanwhile, precipitation amounts recorded in (mm) in some monitoring stations of the Civil Aviation Authority during the period March 27-28, 2023 saw Al Hamra with 28 mm, Izki - 27.6 mm, Bid Bid - 16 mm, Khasab - 12 mm, Barka - 11.8 mm, Kabul - 11.4 mm, Saiq - 9.6 mm and Bukha 9mm.

The sea state across the coast of Musandam as well as Oman Sea is moderate to rough with a wave height of 2.5 m, while Sea is slight to moderate and the wave height is 1.5 m.

Today continues to be partly cloudy over Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates, with chances of thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by active winds and hail.

Opportunities for dust and dirt to rise on desert and exposed areas remain due to wind movement.
