MUSCAT, MARCH 25
A local delivery services startup, which prides itself as being the only service provider in the Sultanate of Oman with a 100 per cent Omani-crewed delivery network, has signed agreements to set up an integrated logistics centre in Khazaen Economic City at Barka.
Nool for Delivery Services, which established operations during the pandemic in September 2020, has grown exponentially over the ensuing 36 months to now boast a countrywide footprint with an expanding presence in the wider region as well.
Last week, the Muscat-based wholly Omani-owned company signed an agreement to invest in a modern integrated facility at Khazaen to serve as a logistics hub catering to its diverse customer segments. The move attests to Nool’s ambitions to emerge as one of Oman’s leading delivery service providers.
Its all-Omani workforce of around 150 employees oversees a network of around 21 branches distributed across the length and breadth of the country. Operating a fleet of 62 delivery vehicles, the company has garnered a reputation for speedy branch-to-branch deliveries at competitive prices, with home deliveries coming at a modest additional cost.
“As part of the progress and development witnessed by Nool Delivery Services Company, an investment agreement was signed with Khazaen to establish an integrated logistics complex, which will also create new job opportunities for Omani cadres,” the startup said in a post on social media.
The Khazaen facility, it stated, will support the growth of the sharing economy, as well as the e-commerce sector, it stated.
Nool already operates three shipment sorting centres at key locations around Oman.
