Omani Smart Cities company commences operations

MUSCAT: Tadoom, a semi-governmental Omani corporation that specializes in offering Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence-based smart city solutions, launched its operations yesterday.
Presiding over the launch, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, said: 'Investing in an established Omani company in a promising sector, with global and local partnerships, adds exceptional economic and development value in the local and global market, and provides a strong foundation for the technology sector in Oman.'
'A firm to deliver smart city solutions, which aspires to enhance the efficiency of services by reducing the operating cost of the building, operation, and transfer of ownership system,' added Eng Abdullah bin Rashid al Badi, CEO of Tadoom, in a statement regarding the company's formal launch
Talal bin Said al Mamari, CEO of Omantel, noted: 'Our relationship with Tadoom will contribute to empowering this trailblazing industry, and strengthening efforts to localize the latest technology to accomplish the aims of Oman Vision 2030.'
Tadoom aims to utilise its global expertise in the use of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and big data analysis to provide the public and private sectors with digital solutions and services.
