Muscat: The Al Sinaina Festival started in the Wilayat of Al Sinaina in Al Buraimi Governorate on Thursday.
The Al Sinaina Festival, which was held at the public park in the Wilayat of Al Sinaina, was launched by Shaikh Mahmoud bin Sulaiman al Maamari, the Wali of Al Sinaina. The festival is a continuation of the Al Buraimi Winter activities launched by the Al Buraimi Governor’s Office on November 18, 2022 in the various wilayats of the governorate.
The three-day festival includes a group of various events and activities. The main aim of the festival is to promote productive families and SMEs in the governorate by creating temporary marketing outlets at the event site, in addition to entertainment events and programmes that attract visitors.
The organisers of the festival were keen to diversify the activities to suit different age groups, most notably: competitions for children and adults, fire and lighting shows, marine arts and face painting.
Humaid bin Ali al Manai, a member of the organising committee of the festival, said: “ The organisation of the festival in the Wilayat of Al Sinaina came to shed light on the ancient heritage of the wilayat. The visitors of the festival will contribute to uplift the small businesses, boost the prominence of the Wilayat of Al Sinaina through social media and to also support productive families by finding equipped sales outlets.
