923 students graduate from UTAS

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences Nizwa celebrated the graduation of 923 students on Wednesday at the UTAS-Nizwa Campus.
Shaikh Hilal al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, presided over the graduation ceremony of 923 graduates from the two branches of UTAS-Nizwa in the presence of Dr Said al Rubaie, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, a number of delegates and excellencies, deans of both branches of UTAS-Nizwa, Dr Mohammed al Kharusi and Dr Hafidh al Rahbi, along with the assistant deans for academic and scientific affairs, academic faculty from different departments and administrative staff. The ceremony witnessed a significant attendance of the family members of the graduates who were highly excited for this long-awaited event.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem of Oman followed with a recitation of the Holy Quran. The Dean of UTAS-Nizwa Dr Hafidh al Rahbi delivered the speech of the University for the delegates. He stated, “This is such a joyful day in which each graduate was eagerly waiting for, not only the graduates but the whole country is waiting for it in its promising journey. We are proud of every single graduate, and we are here to celebrate your achievement.' Then the speech of the graduates was presented by the graduate Aisha al Mufarji, majored in Digital Media, in which words of happiness and accomplishments were deeply expressed in her talk. She said, “I am short of words, letters are not enough to express our feelings, nor sentences do justice, this night of ours is one of the happiest to our souls.'
