The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held a two-day workshop on the theme, ‘Quality Assessment of Postal Service’, as part of the service quality assessment project for licensed postal companies.
The workshop included the mechanism and criteria for evaluation and how plans work. Methods of collecting audit evidence and documenting observations were also identified, including techniques for asking questions, effective listening, and how to prepare audit reports.
Through the Postal Service Quality Assessment Project, TRA seeks to develop a flexible regulatory environment in line with developments, represented in evaluating and measuring the quality of service for local and international licensed postal service providers, and applying best practices that comply with international standards. This comes as part of efforts to improve the postal sector in the Sultanate of Oman in line with the aspirations of the government emanating from Oman Vision 2040.
