Nepal community celebrates Oman National Day

Marking the 52nd National Day of Oman, Embassy of Nepal, Nepali Social Club and Nepali Community/Organisations in Oman organised a Walkathon on Friday.
On this occasion, Ambassador Dornath Aryal Aryal extended best wishes for good health and happiness to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity to the people of the Sultanate of Oman. More than 400 people took part in the programme.
The Walkathon which began from nearby the Embassy of Nepal covered almost 3 km along Shatti Al Qurum.
Nepali Traditional Musical Band Panche Baja was played and people with different Nepali traditional dresses performed the dances/Jhanki. Other participants of the Walkathon wore T-shirts designed in flag colour of the two countries with cross flag of Nepal and the Sultanate of Oman with a caption “Long Live Nepal-Oman Relations”.
The guests in nearby restaurants and hotels in the beach and other visitors cheered the the participants.
At the end of Walkathon, Ambassador Aryal extended thanks to Royal Oman Police, Nepali organisations, organising committee, media, participants and all supporters.
Badr Al Sama Hospital's ambulance was on stand-by to meet emergency and Royal Oman Police provided security services during the programme.
