Procession to mark National Day

A solidarity procession of more than 400 people will be held in Shatti Al Qurum at around 3.30pm on Friday to mark the 52nd National Day of the Sultanate of Oman
Titled WALKATHON-2022, the event will feature expats from Nepal in traditional dresses.
Organised by the Nepali Social Club with the support and participation of the Embassy of Nepal, the walkathon will begin at the embassy premises and head towards the beach side and cover nearly 3 kilometres before it reaches back to the starting point.
Speaking to the Observer, a spokesperson said that this procession is one of its kind and necessary permissions have been received from the authorities.
'We have secured necessary approval from the concerned authorities of the Sultanate of Oman and this procession is to mark our gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman,' he said.
