Muscat: The Indian full-fledged airline, Vistara, on Saturday announced non-stop flights between Mumbai and Muscat starting from December 12.
Vistara will operate daily flights between the two cities using its A320neo aircraft and will be the only airline to offer the choice of premium economy class on the route, in addition to Business and Economy Class.
As per the timings available on the website, the flight from Mumbai will depart at 8:30 pm to reach Muscat at 21:35 pm, while the outbound flight from Muscat will depart at 10:55 pm to reach Mumbai at 03:10 am. The Economy Class fares start from RO7,500 for a few days, starting December 12.
Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer, Vistara, said: 'We are excited to expand our presence in the Middle East with the addition of Muscat as the fourth city in the region.
Given the strong bilateral ties and the thriving trade and investment relations between India and Oman, this new route will further aid the growing traffic between the two countries. The capital city of Muscat continues to attract a significant number of expatriates, traders, business travelers, and high-end leisure travelers from India who will now have the choice of flying business class and premium economy on India's best airline complemented with Vistara's signature hospitality.'
Earlier, The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the Sultanate had issued its approval for the Indian company, Vistara Airlines, to operate direct flights between Mumbai and Muscat from October 1.

Vistara commenced its commercial operations on January 9, 2015, and connects destinations across India and abroad.
