Seeb players raring to lift historic AFC Cup 2022

Oman’s representatives Seeb arrived to Kuala Lumpur City, Malaysia, on Tuesday to meet Kuala Lumpur City FC on Saturday in the final clash of the AFC Cup 2022 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
After their arrival, the Seeb heroes began their first rigorous training sessions in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday evening under watchful eyes of national experienced head coach Rasheed Jaber.
During the warm-up session, Jaber focused on physical training after the flight trip. Later, he instructed the players for different technical and tactical training. Two more practices sessions will remain for Seeb players to shape their final readiness ahead for the final.
Seeb are just one victory away from lifting a historic AFC Cup title and the team will be keen on registering a historic accomplishment for Seeb in this edition of AFC Cup. Seeb squad featured 23 players including: Ahmed Faraj al Rawahi, Abdullah Jameel, Juma al Habsi, Mohammed al Musallami, Mohammed al Amri, Ali al Busaidy, Daniel Ajbola, Hassan al Ajmi, Eid al Farsi, Abdulaziz al Maqbali, Mohsin al Ghassani, Salah al Yahyaei, Kesmos Dawoda, Mohammed Said, Essam al Makhzoomi, Ahmed al Syiabi, Yousef al Malki, Marwan Taeeb, Tamim al Balushi, Abdullah al Habsi, Arfan Abdullah and Mohammed al Hatmi.
Seeb secured spot in the AFC Cup final in a style after thrashing Bahrain’s Al Riffa 4-0 in the West Zone final. Drawn in the West Zone’s Group A, Seeb began their campaign with a 1-0 win over Syria’s Jableh. That was followed by a 2-1 defeat to three-time AFC Cup winners Kuwait SC and then they cruised to a 4-0 win over Al Ansar to finish as the Group A winners. In the West Zone semifinal, Seeb edged Arabi SC of Kuwait 2-1.
