Positive start for Oman golf team in Tunisia

The Arab Golf Championship for youth, juniors, cubs, girls and women is under way in its 21st edition. This is the fourth session hosted by Tunisia in the history of this Arab event.
The championship competitions venue is at the Citrus Golf Course in Hammamet for the second time after it was hosted by this stadium in 2010.
The teams which are taking part in the event are: Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Somalia, Libya and hosts Tunisia.
The tournament included for the first time, five competitions, which are under 13 years old, under 15 years old, and under 18 years old, in addition to the women’s categories.
On the first day, the Oman national golf team had good results. In the under-18 category, Munther al Hinai scored 80 points, Ahmed al Wahaibi 77 points, and Ayman al Busaidy scored 84 points.
In the under-15 category, Maher Sambat scored 96 points, Faris al Busaidy 86 points, and Adam al Barwani 83 points.
Finally, in the U-13 category, the two rising stars Youssef al Ramahi scored 94 points and Muhib al Kathiri scored 93 points.
In the overall standings, Oman team are ranked second behind the Tunisian team in the under-18 category.
