As per Royal Orders, Joint Committee initiates action to provide student nutrition

Muscat: In implementation of the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to provide schools provisions for students who belong to Social Insurance Families and low-income families, a joint committee from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Development initiated a programme to provide daily meals for eligible students.
The joint committee is acting in coordination with the representatives of government firms and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
This was unveiled during a meeting with Dr Madiha Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, and Dr Saud Hamad al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in the presence of chief executive officers of some Omani government firms.
The meeting looked into proposed mechanisms to put the Royal orders to action, bearing in mind standard health and safety procedures. The meeting named the suppliers and regulated their relationship with small and medium enterprises leasing the tuck shops.
