Muscat: The Ministry of Education on Monday signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with sponsors of Oman Science Festival 2022.
The signing ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Education Undersecretary, who inked the first MoU with Occidental Oman (OXY) company, the second with Ithca Group and the third with Asyad Group.
Dr Abdullah lauded the support offered by the three firms towards the execution of the third edition of the festival scheduled to be held in October 2022. “The festival will impart the love of science and innovation in students, who will bear the banner of progress in the future,” Dr Abdullah added.
The festival also targets other segments of society and keeps the local community in touch with pressing contemporary issues and presents these in an interactive non-stereotypical style.
The MoUs reflect the three signatories’ keenness in shouldering their social corporate responsibility and their conviction in the festival’s significance to society, in general, and to students, in particular.
