'Scattered rain will fall on parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar, with the continued flow of clouds associated with the tropical situation in the south of Al Sharqiah, North Al Sharqiah, Al Wusta, Dhofar, and parts of Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi,' Oman Met said.
'There is also the possibility of dust and dust rising in desert and open areas due to wind activity.'
The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology have notified motorists using #Adam_Salalah road to be cautious due to the low visibility because of active sand winds & delay unnecessary trips until the road is clear and visible.
The ministry also decided to stop the maritime traffic and the ferry transportation service to and from Masirah, until the weather conditions improve.
The Environment Authority has called on industrial facilities, ports, factories, and companies to secure hazardous materials in safe locations.
