Oman participates in Arab League Media meetings

Amman: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, is taking part in the media meetings (Media and Communications Sector), organized by the Arab League’s Secretariat General.
The 3-day meetings, hosted by Jordan, are organized in cooperation and coordination with the Arab Commission for Satellite Broadcasting.
The first session of the meetings included a seminar on the role of Arab media in combating extremism and terrorism. Working papers were presented during the session by Jordan, Algeria, Palestine and the Arab League’s Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization.
A meeting will be held on Tuesday by specialists to address video games that promote violence and their effects on Arab societies.
