Adam award for initiatives, volunteer work presented

ADAM: The Wali's Office in Adam, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, honoured the winners of the Adam Award for Initiatives and Excellence in its first edition.

Shaikh Ali bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, State Council member and organising committee chairman, said: 'The award is based on the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development, indicating that the award aims to create community partnership based on integration in the performance of roles among the people of the state.'

'The Adam award also aims to stimulate community initiatives, consolidate the values and concepts of volunteer work and enhance the spirit of responsibility among all members of society. They include volunteer work, environment, health, citizenship and heritage, in addition to entrepreneurship, sports, culture, youth, education and innovation, as well as the field of empowering individuals and families.'

The ceremony included the presentation of many heritage descriptions, poems and visual shows about initiatives and volunteer work.

Shaikh Hamad bin Rashid al Maqbali, Wali of Adam, honoured those who excelled in various fields and those who took the initiative and volunteer work.

The Adam Award is a public award at the state level under the supervision of the Adam Wali Office. It seeks to encourage initiatives and urge institutions and individuals to serve the community and enhance social responsibility among individuals.
