Oman Sports signs up as partner for Al Mouj Muscat Marathon

Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth signed a strategic partnership agreement for the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon, represented by Mohammed bin Ahmed al Amri, Director-General of Sports Activities with Sabco Sports company, represented by Ali bin Sulaiman al Ajmi, General Manager.
The agreement was signed in order to contribute, with the rest of the partners, to support the marathon as it enhances the concept of health and fitness, encourage society to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, and keep pace with the Oman Vision 2040 and the Omani sports strategy “Health is everyone’s responsibility.”
The marathon is also an international sporting tourism event that highlights some of the characteristics of Oman.
The Al Mouj Muscat Marathon includes five different distances, suiting different levels of experience and fitness, as approved by the Association of International Marathons and Long Distance Races.
The 42 km distance for the full marathon and 21.2 km for the half marathon, and a distance of 10 km, the race also includes a 5 km class, and children's races that vary between 1, 2 and 3 km, allowing a great variety of distances to suit different levels of fitness and experience. All competitors who cross the finish line will receive event specific T-shirts, in addition to colourful medals upon reaching the finish line.
