MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education (MoE), represented by the Employees Welfare Department, in cooperation with Al Ahli Islamic Bank, honoured 22 teachers who excel in digital learning platforms and YouTube educational channels, under the auspices of Majid bin Saeed al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs. A number of advisers and director-generals, as well as a number of officials in the Al Ahli Islamic Bank attended the ceremony which took place in Khasab Hall in the Ministry’s Headquarters.

Hussein bin Habib al Ajmi, Director of the Employees Welfare Department at the Ministry, in his speech on the occasion highlighted the importance of education and the role of the teacher saying: “Countries do not advance except with education, and this is only with a capable teacher. In light of the spread of the pandemic, face-to-face education has shifted to online learning, where the teacher worked under difficult and different conditions, which resulted in distinct electronic initiatives in record time. This indicates the great effort made by the teacher, which achieves the Oman 2040 digital strategy to create a knowledgeable society in which safe, effective and appropriate electronic services are available for different segments of the society.”
