MUSCAT: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) on Saturday began its participation in the International Maritime Exercise (IMX22), currently being executed on the Omani maritime zone (the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea).
The Sultanate of Oman is hosting the IMX22 activities of the second zone from February 12 to 18.
The Sultanate of Oman’s Maritime Security Centre will take over leadership and control of IMX22 on the second zone with the participation of the RNO and navy ships from friendly countries including the USA, the UK, Pakistan and South Korea, with the support of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
