Oman-Russia bilateral relations reviewed

Muscat: The Oman-Russia Friendship Parliamentary Group held its first meeting for this year under the chairmanship of Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Harthi.
The meeting approved the agenda list which included the Foreign Ministry’s report on bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation, a report on the economic indicators in Russia and reviewed a report about exchanged visits between the two friendly countries.
At the end of the meeting, the group discussed its work plan for the current annual session and was briefed on the latest work on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions.
The parliamentary friendship groups formed by the State Council in cooperation with Majlis Ash’shura with a number of parliaments in brotherly and friendly countries, play an important role in consolidating the relations of the Council of Oman with those councils, and exchanging information and experiences between them to enhance the Sultanate of Oman’s relations with other countries.
