RAA to spearhead Oman Vision 2040

Muscat: The Royal Academy for Administration (RAA), which was set by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, constitutes a major step forward in boosting administrative training in the Sultanate of Oman, said specialists in administrative and academic affairs.
Sayyid Zaki bin Hilal al Busaidy, CEO of the erstwhile Institute of Public Administration said the establishment of the RAA affirms the care and attention accorded to human resources by His Majesty the Sultan. He added that the Academy will upgrade the capabilities of the Omani human resources in the public and private sectors in a manner that aligns with the requirements of Oman Vision 2040.
Yahya bin Khamis al Hussaini, CEO of Muscat Statistical Consulting centre, said the RAA will contribute to the improvement of government performance by devising clear-cut plans for the development of leadership skills.
Dr Obaid bin Said al Shaqsi, Associate Professor of Mass Communications at Sultan Qaboos University, said that the establishment of the RAA reflects the piercing vision of His Majesty the Sultan to meet the requirements of the next stage of development in Oman, notably when the need arises for training of nationals in administrative fields.
Dr Rajab bin Ali al Owaisi, Expert of Social and Educational Studies at the State Council, said that the RAA will enrich the experience of the State’s Administrative Apparatus.
Dr Humaid al Nofali, Director of the Culture Department at Oman National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, said that the RAA ushers in a new era of administrative development that fits with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Dr Mohammed bin Fayel al Araimi, Associate Professor at Sur University College, said that the RAA has been established as part of an approach to bridge the transformation of the Sultanate of Oman into the sphere of advanced nations. — ONA
