At HM's Behest, interior minister opens Manah Public Park

Manah: At the Behest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior on Tuesday opened Manah Public Park in the Wilayat of Manah.
The opening coincides with the Royal presence of His Majesty the Sultan in the Governorate of Al Dhakhiliyah.
The park was set up as per the Royal orders of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur.
Locals of Manah and the neighbouring wilayats can benefit from the park, which also serves as a haven for travelers on Nizwa-Thumrait road.
The park is built on a space of 120,000 square metres and includes several facilities and amenities, such as four open theatres. Two of the theatres have a capacity of 500 people each, which makes them suitable to hold events.
Green landscapes occupy approximately 45,000 square metres of the park’s space. In addition, over 130 palm trees, 800 saplings of flowers and various ornamental trees were planted.
The park also contains shaded nurseries on a space of 800 square metres.
As per the royal orders, the management of the park shall come under the purview of the Al Dhakhiliyah Governor’s Office.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Royal Court Affairs, the Governor of Al Dhakhiliyah, Walis of Manah and Adam, as well as Shaiks and members of the Municipal Council of the two Wilayats. --ONA
