Temperatures continue to drop in parts of Sultanate of Oman

Muscat: The has been a decrease in temperatures and the formation of frost on the mountainous heights, and some meteorological stations in the desert areas recorded less than ten degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours.
On Friday, the temperature in Jabal al Sarat in the Wilayat of Ibri has reached below zero, which resulted in the freezing of water in ponds and also the frost formation.
Jabal al Sarat is about 130 kilometers from the city of Ibri and can be reached through Wadi Al-Ain.On a four-wheel-drive car from Jabal Shams, the distance is 10km.
It is also possible to reach Jabal Al-Sarat using the Ibri-Al-Hamra road, covering a distance of 180 kilometers.
Al-Sarat Mountain is 2,850 meters above sea level.
On Saturday, day temperatures in Muscat were 23°C while minimum temperatures at night are expected to be 15°C.
