35 drinking water plants in Sultanate of Oman

Muscat: There are 35 factories for manufacturing and bottling pure water in the Sultanate of Oman as of December 31, 2021.
Most of these factories are located in the Governorate of Muscat (9), followed by South al Sharqiah (eight) and Dhofar (four).
The ministry said it deals with these projects in accordance with the technical requirements and gives conditional approvals in coordination with other government agencies.
The Ministry is developing plans to encourage such projects, especially Omani investors.
