Oman participates in the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference

TEHRAN: The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed that the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik adheres, in its internal and external approach, on the importance of cohesion and cooperation among all. The Sultanate seeks to remind the people of the importance of compassion, mercy, respect to humanity, appreciating diversity and respecting sanctities.
This was part of the Sultanate’s speech delivered by Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, at the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference. The 5-day conference sees participation of representatives of 52 countries.
Al Maamari said that the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan has stressed that approach since the first historical address during which His Majesty affirmed the Sultanate’s commitment that its message of peace continue to tour the world carrying a great legacy and supreme objectives of construction rather destruction and rapprochement segregation.
The conference includes lectures, sessions and symposiums aimed at enhancing scientific and cultural rapprochement between the Islamic nation. — ONA
