Suhar: The University of Sohar has launched the activities of the virtual induction week for students of the new academic year 2021/2022.
The week's activities, which kicked off on Sunday, will continue until Thursday, September 23.
This is the second time that the University of Sohar organized a virtual induction week.
The first time was in the last academic year due to the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is still ongoing.
The programme appears on the university's website and includes many essential programmes and topics that a student needs during his university study.
Furthermore, the programme allows students to explore the university facilities and other services.
The programme will help students to know the courses they will study, the methods for delivering these courses, and the educational materials they need.
Prof Barry Winn, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sohar, addressed a speech to the students in which he welcomed their return to the campus after a long break due to the pandemic.
He stated that everyone was working hard to prepare the campus to receive students again.
Prof Barry Winn urged everyone to take precautions as the pandemic still exists.
