Gaitha al Muainiyah, an Omani yoga trainer, mentioned that the body gets affected by the surrounding environment or by the status of energy, positive or negative. “It is hard to separate these energies because we are living in vital environments. We can get angry, desperate, sad or nervous. These bad energies could affect human organs causing diseases without them knowing. Yoga relieves the body from all the negative energies by doing postures, breathing techniques and meditation.”

Gaitha, who attended her first yoga class in 2015 and became a trainer on her own in 2018, said, “The body gains positive energy that gives life to the body, so the body’s energy becomes balanced. Yoga helps to increase the breathing level that helps you to feel unexhausted all the time in exercising any sport. I was having problem in breathing but yoga helped in making my life easier that I can do all sports without feeling tired”.

Gaitha mentioned that she is interested in self-healing because she believes that human body and mind are strong and powerful. “My health comes first before everything so I practice yoga that combine sport and science’’, she said. “I prefer to practice yoga in nature or in a closed, cozy place so I could focus more.”
