The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will organize tomorrow a virtual symposium on Wednesday for decision makers on access to climate finance and the procedures for accrediting national authorities to the United Nations Green Climate Fund.
More than 50 participants from decision makers in relevant government and private agencies will participate in the symposium, during which experts from the Green Climate Fund will present several lectures and discussion sessions.
The Civil Aviation Authority, represented by the Directorate General of Meteorology, seeks, through this symposium, to enhance understanding of the financing opportunities available from the Green Climate Fund and the requirements for obtaining it at the national level, in a way that enables the Sultanate to benefit from the financing opportunities available to shift towards a low-carbon economy and face challenges.
