Sayyid Badr receives phone call from Israeli foreign minister

 

Muscat: Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi on Thursday received a phone call from Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, following the latter’s undertaking the portfolio of the Foreign Ministry in the new government setup.

In the telephonic conversation, Sayyid Badr expressed the hope that the new Israeli government would espouse a vision to peace aimed at taking tangible steps that respond to the Palestinian people’s aspiration to establish their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Sayyid Badr also reaffirmed the well-known permanent pillars of the Omani policy of peace. --ONA
