Oman, Saudi Arabia review investment

MUSCAT: Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion held a meeting through video conference with Engier Khalid bin Abdulaziz al Falih, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia with the participation of a number of officials from both sides.
The two sides reviewed the aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of investment and the available opportunities as well as the Saudi vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040 and the economic diversification projects and targets therein contained.
The minister discussed the importance of activating the Omani-Saudi Business Council alongside the trade chamber in both countries.
It was agreed to form a working team tasked with laying down an action plan for the joint economic aspects in preparation for mutual visits between the two countries. It was also agreed that the ministry’s under-secretary for investment promotion will visit Saudi Arabia to review the Saudi investment experience.
The meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Asila bint Salim al Samsamiyah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion and a number of officials from the ministry and Oman Investment Authority.
