The eighth edition Omani Honey Market was inaugurated by Talal bin Suleiman al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning (SCP) at the Muscat Grand Mall on Wednesday. As many as 35 honey bee breeders from across the Sultanate’s governorates are taking part in the market. The four-day market is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. The market aims at providing the opportunity for networking among the honey producers as well introducing the Omani honey to buyers. The previous Omani honey markets witnessed a great turnout by citizens, residents and visitors. In the seventh Omani honey market 4 tonnes of honey was sold with a market value of about RO 99,000. — ONA
