MUSCAT: The weather was salubrious in the afternoon of Friday and the cheering crowd waited with baited breath as the tennis balls found their precise destination within the four fenced walls of the Oasis Cricket Club in Ghala where the sixth season of its Telyboyz Box Cricket Box Cricket Cup was held.
Overs after overs and after batsmen and fielders changing sides, and after many cheers, sighs, and shouts Thalassery's St Fort claimed the title once again in front of a packed crowd of box cricket enthusiasts at the tournament, marking a clear, third consecutive championship victory.
In the intense final, St Fort defeated Dubai Tellicherry Cricketers by a margin of minus 12 runs.
