Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management has unveiled its Executive Programme in Resilience and Risk Management, designed to equip national professionals with the skills to address the future.

The jointly-organised programme with the UK’s Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College (EPC) supports the comprehensive national system's efforts to enhance resilience with Oman’s strategic aspirations.

Dr Fathiya Al Rashdi, Vice President for Programme Affairs at the Royal Academy of Management, said the initiative is a strategic step to empower administrative leaders in Oman.

"The programme aims to bolster national resilience, enabling professionals to manage emergencies effectively and develop adaptive policies that ensure business continuity in the public sector," she said.

Al Rashdi emphasised the programme's focus on sustaining operations in vital sectors by building advanced emergency planning and risk management skills. This includes preparing participants to handle unforeseen crises with high efficiency and readiness.

Targeting 25 senior-level participants, including directors and department heads in public sector institutions, the programme’s selected participants will engage in intensive learning sessions, interactive workshops, practical training, and field visits. The curriculum addresses real-world challenges, integrating local and international expertise.

The programme also seeks to enhance adaptive leadership, foster a knowledge-sharing community in risk management, and promote collaboration across various sectors. Focusing on flexibility and innovation, it aims to equip participants to navigate change and challenges effectively.

Scheduled to run from December 2024 to February 2025, the three-month programme represents a significant step forward in Oman’s commitment to building a robust and resilient public sector.
