MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by OQ Group, will host the 18th annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Forum starting tomorrow, Monday, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, which gathers regional and international leaders, will focus on sustainability, energy futures and global goals.
Day one will feature remarks by energy ministers and the announcement of the next forum’s host country. Key sessions will address topics such as food security and the role of agri-nutrients, energy transitions and the impact of geopolitics. The forum will also explore innovations in the chemical sector and strategies for achieving efficiency and sustainability.
Other highlights include a showcase for emerging companies in circular economy and climate action, the "Solutions Exchange" event, and a youth-focused GPCA initiative. OQ Group CEO Ashraf bin Hamad al Mamari emphasised the forum’s role in promoting Oman’s leadership in petrochemicals and advancing sustainability and innovation. — ONA
