Muscat- The Ministry of Health (MOH) will lay the foundation stone of Al Falah Hospital in South al Sharqiyah Governorate on Monday at a ceremony presided over by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
Eng. Yousef bin Yaqoub bin Nasser Ambu Ali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, said that Al Falah Hospital will be built on an area of land estimated at 343 thousand square meters, with a construction area of 58 thousand square meters, for RO 51, 861 148, and with a capacity of 170 beds.
He added that the hospital will include 38 outpatient clinics for all medical specialties and an accident and emergency department. The radiology department will be equipped with the latest types of radiology devices (magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasound), and will contain a kidney medicine unit, a daycare department, and a dental clinic in addition to the internal wards (surgery and internal medicine).
He explained that the project will include 3 operating rooms equipped for all cases that require surgical intervention with all their accessories and rooms for laparoscopic operations.
The project includes a department for obstetrics, gynecology, and children, consisting of a children's ward, an intensive care department, a ward for obstetrics and gynecology, a maternity department,t and a unit for the care of premature babies.
He stated that the hospital will contain an advanced laboratory equipped with all the devices to conduct the necessary tests to diagnose diseases and pharmacies distributed throughout the hospital.
The project will include public facilities, facilities for the medical staff, and workshops for maintenance engineers and medical equipment engineers.
He stated that the hospital will contain administrative offices, service buildings, three warehouses for medical supplies, a general warehouse, and a warehouse for flammable materials, in addition to a water treatment plant, backup generators, drinking water purification devices, and an integrated building for medical gases. It will include 1,422 parking spaces and other public services and facilities.
