Oman Across Ages Museum (OAAM) in the Wilayat of Manah in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate received around 25,000 international and domestic visitors during the 54th National Day holidays.
Eng. Al Yaqzan bin Abdullah al Harthy, Director General of OOAM, said, "The management ensured many facilities and procedures to receive the large numbers of visitors, which included deploying additional number of employees, extending visiting hours and making available booking through the museum’s website."
As a cultural landmark, the Museum transports visitors through the nation’s 800 million-year history through a series of immersive, high-tech experiences. The building emerges from its earthen landscape plane as a series of angular, geometric volumes that sit in dialogue with the encompassing backdrop of the peaks and ridges of the Al Hajar Mountain range.
The Wilayat of Bidiya in North al Sharqiyah Governorate received over 120,000 visitors across resorts, hotels, desert camps, and farms with an occupancy rate of around 90% due to the increase in demand.
The Bidiya Car Challenge Carnival, which coincided with the National Day holidays, included entertainment events, sports, heritage, and economic competitions, in addition to desert sports activities.
This festival achieved tangible successes in activating domestic tourism and attracting audiences from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman and neighboring countries.
