MUSCAT: Oman U-20 football team clubbed with Egypt, Oman and Somalia in Group D.
The draw of the Arab Cup for U-20 teams in its eighth edition was organised under Arab Football Federation on Sunday in Dammam. The tournament will be hosted in Saudi Arabia in Abha city during July 20 to August 5. As many as 18 teams will take part at the event.
The last edition of the tournament was held in Egypt in 2021 and Saudi Arabia team won the title after defeating Algeria in the final. The first edition was held in Morocco in 1983 when Iraq won the title after betting Saudi Arabia team.
The Arab Cup for U-20 teams were divided into six groups and three teams in each group. Group A featured from the hosts Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Iraq. UAE led Group B which included Jordan and Yemen. Group C comprised from Algeria, Lebanon and Libya. Group D include Egypt, Oman and Somalia teams. Tunisia clubbed in Group E beside Bahrain and Djibouti teams. Group F included Morocco, Sudan and Palestine teams.
