Mazoon Dairy held on Wednesday a celebration to honour 21 outstanding students from public, private, as well as from literacy schools in Al-Buriami Governorate at the company’s headquarters in Wilayat Al Sunaynah.

The event was part of Mazoon’s social responsibility strategy and within Ejada programme which, in its first phase, targets Al Buraimi Governorate’s schools. In the future, the programme looks forward to other governorates and broader fields such as education, development, and innovation.

On behalf of Mazoon Dairy Company, Corporate Affairs Manager Yousuf bin Khamis Aa Fazari said the company spares no effort in supporting educational activities and developing the local community in the governorate, where social responsibility is an integral part of Mazoon Dairy’s activities.

He added that the company plays a leading role in creating sustainable societies in the Sultanate by providing training, education, and community empowerment, which are basic pillars in the revival of nations parallel and with Oman Vision 2040.

Dr Sultan bin Khamis al Yahyai, Assistant General Director at Al-Buraimi Directorate of Education, stated: “Those ventures have a major role in motivating students outstanding in the General Diploma at the level of the governorate’s schools for the academic year 2020-2021.”

He added that Mazoon Dairy always works alongside Al-Buraimi Directorate of Education by supporting various educational activities and events.

The ceremony included an introductory visit for the distinguished students and several of the Directorate Officials to the farm and factory facilities, where the attendees learnt about the techniques used in food manufacturing processes.

Rashid bin Khalfan al Muqbali, Administration and Facilities Manager at Mazoon Dairy, asserted on the importance of the introductory visits for students, which aim to introduce them to the state-of-art techniques used in the company’s facilities.

“The attendees also toured the factory, which consists of four main sections: main manufacturing unit, the training building, the plastic packaging factory and the services unit.

The factory was constructed on an area of 50,000 square meters. It is one of the largest food processing facilities in the region, with a production capacity of up to one million liters per day.

The attendees learnt about the mechanism of the biogas production plant, which converts farm waste into gas that is used as an alternative energy to operate some equipment in the factory,” he added.
