Oman, Bahrain to continue joint cooperation in trade, investment

 
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa affirmed their determination to continue developing joint cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment fields in particular.



Both sides will enhance efforts that are aimed at consolidating the pillars of regional security and stability and maintaining international peace and security.

The two sides expressed their keenness to strengthen efforts to consolidate the values ​​of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the countries of the world and to devote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation to resolve disputes by peaceful means, to achieve security, peace, and prosperity for all peoples of the world, in compliance with the principles and objectives of the United Nations Charter and international law.





The two leaders are keen on maximizing the volume of investments and enhancing trade exchange between the two brotherly countries.

A signature was signed between the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to establish the Bahrain-Oman Investment Company, which will be a nucleus for investment and for investors to build upon in various fields in order to achieve more partnerships and fruitful business between the private sector institutions in the two countries.



The two sides discussed the process of joint Gulf action, and the efforts made by the countries of the Cooperation Council to consolidate cooperation and joint Gulf integration and stressed the need to work on the cohesion of the GCC and affirm the solidarity of its countries and peoples to face all current challenges.

Continuing efforts to achieve the aspirations of the member states and their peoples towards more synergy, integration, and joint action to achieve Gulf economic unity.

The two sides express their pride in the two countries' signing of a number of agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programs in various fields, which would strengthen joint cooperation and enhance brotherly relations.



The two sides express their aspiration for the results of the 31st Arab summit to be held in Algeria at the beginning of November, which would enhance joint Arab action, protect Arab national security, and achieve the aspirations of the Arab people for security, development, and prosperity.



The two sides stress the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue that meets the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, by establishing a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The two sides stress the importance of continuing the efforts of the United Nations to achieve a permanent and comprehensive truce in the Republic of Yemen, and to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the approved international references, in a manner that guarantees the security, stability, and unity of Yemen, and achieves the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and development.

The two sides express their interest in joint work and coordination to maintain regional security and enhance joint cooperation to protect freedom of navigation and international trade, combat terrorism and its financing, and combat fanatic ideology.

His Majesty the Sultan expressed his thanks and gratitude to the King of Bahrain for the generous hospitality and warm welcome, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.
