Shabab Oman II heads back home from Dubai

DUBAI: Shabab Oman II, the sail ship of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), has set sail from Dubai Harbour heading back home after concluding its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai as part of pavilions of the Sultanate of Oman and the GCC Secretariat-General.
Shabab Oman II took part in the activities of the national day dedicated to the Sultanate of Oman on November 21 by opening its doors for the visitors of Expo 2020 Dubai and also received official delegations.
The ship set out on a maritime GCC tour themed “Oman, A Renewed Approach” that aimed to enliven the Sultanate of Oman’s maritime history and highlight the country’s modern-day achievements and signs of progress and developments being witnessed by the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The tour incarnated Oman’s timeless tradition of extending bridges of peace, amity and fraternity among nations of the world. — ONA
