State Council member elected Vice-President, Arab Parliament

MUSCAT: Musallam bin Ali al Mashani, State Council member, has been newly elected to the position of Vice-President in the elections of the Arab Parliament held on Saturday. The elected include Mishal Faham Asalmi from Saudi Arabia, President of the Arab Parliament, four Vice Presidents and the heads and deputies of the newly formed standing committees of the Arab Parliament. Following the taking of oath by the new elected individuals, the earlier President Ahmed al Jarwan, Head of the Arab outgoing parliament issued a statement reviewing the Parliament’s activities during the first legislative term. The State Council members attending the Arab Parliament are Musallam bin Ali al Mashani and Khamis bin Said al Sulaimi. The second plenary meeting of the first session of the second legislative term of the Arab Parliament will be held on Sunday under the chairmanship of the new parliament.
