Registration opens for Endurance Competition for female horse riders

MUSCAT: Oman Equestrian Association (OEA) announced opening registration for the Local Endurance Competition for 2016- 2017 for female horse riders, which will be held on January 27 at the Endurance Village in the Wilayat of Barka with wide participation from various governorates of the Sultanate. The competition will be local race for female horse riders for 100 km, in addition to two qualifying races for 40 km and 80 km. OEA allocated RO 14,000 as cash awards for the local race (100 km). The winner of first place will receive RO 4,000 whereas the second place winner RO 3,000 and the third place winner RO 2,000.

The fourth place winner will receive RO 1,500 and the fifth place winner RO 1,000 while the winners from the 6th place to the 10th place will receive RO 500 each. The local race (100 km) includes four stages as the first and second stages will be for 30 km each whereas the third and fourth stages will be for 20 km each. The qualifying race (80 km) will include three stages as the first and second stages will be for 30 km each and the third stage for 20 km. The second qualifying race (40 km) will include one stage only. — ONA
