By Mai Al Abria — Every year, Sarah Gallery exert massive efforts to gather all talented pioneer and growing artists under one roof and provide them with an ideal place to share inspiring thoughts, gather support and facilitate artistic growth through sharing of techniques and disciplines. This year, that gathering came under the form of Coronation —an opening group show that is a celebration of the rich diversity and talent in the Sultanate. Launched on May 16, 2017, the event was held under the auspices of Hani bin Mohammed Al Zubair, CEO of Bait Al Zubair.

The exhibition contains 65 artworks from 30 different artists — established artists who are at the peak of their creative talent and emerging artists and those who are just beginning to make their mark in the art world.

Other than Oman, works of contemporary artists from Syria, Tunisia, India, Lebanon, Russia, the US and the UK provide a wide opportunity for discovering a new talent to follow especially for the lovers of the art.

Many of the works displayed are Calligraphy, Abstract, realistic, landscape, surrealist, and a lot more inspired pieces that explore unconventional painting techniques with some, employing mixed media and multi patterned paintings.

Shapes and lines are driving forces for some — a mixed vibrant art that we can see in the works of the extraordinary Omani Artist Bakri and Al Madny whose artwork is well known as ‘Calligrafitti”.
